Hallway Cat

Hello! This is O’Malley, my cat. He is quite the rascal, always getting into mischief and parkouring throughout my unit. If you see him roaming the hallway, please kindly let me know he should return to 101, where he lives and is very loved. He will often sit behind the door, waiting for everyone to drop off checks — and occasionally try to paw them from you. He’s a 13lb ball of energy! Here at Santiago Apartments, cats are welcome community members!

Hello! Glad to find you here.

My name is Erin and I am the current caretaker of Santiago Apartments. I have lived in the building for over ten years; it is truly my home. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our community. I love living here at Santiago and within our amazing community. You can often find me next store purchasing an Alma loft (a must have for your weekend mornings!), walking the Stone Arch Bridge, and catching movies at the St. Anthony Main Theatre. I’ve lived in units on three of our four floors here at Santiago, and enjoyed the quirks and space in every unit! I hope you’ll consider making Santiago your home as well.

Notice to Vacate

When I took the job as Caretaker for Santiago Apartments in August, 2011, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I was 24, naive, and barely knew how to change a light bulb. In the years since, I have learned how to operate a low-pressure steam boiler, handed keys to countless new renters, and grown strangely fond of this nearly 100-year-old building.

After nine + years, it’s time for me to hand the reins to a new Caretaker, who, I am confident, will bring new energy and excitement to this community.

Although this job came with more than it’s fair share of stresses, Santiago Apartments will always have a special place in my heart. I hope that every resident who moves in and out of this building after I’m gone appreciates it as much as I do, flaws and all.
